West Madeira
Porto Moniz in the Western tip of Madeira is well known for interesting volcanic rock pools. In summer it is possible to bathe in some of these large rock pools. The West of Madeira is known for its attractive coastline and cliffs.
Drive along the west coast and you will have the pleasure of seeing lots of colourful exotic flowers growing by the roadside; angel's trumpets, cannas, larum lilies, bird of paradise.
